Leicester Comedy Festival & The UK Kids’ Comedy Festival take place in over 60 venues across the city and county, so we advise that you check the location of individual venues before planning your travel – you can find venue details here. Lots of our festival venues have the advantage of walkable distances between them, but here are a few ways to get to Leicester and travel around the city during the festival:
By Bus
Arriva
As our sustainable travel partner, Arriva run an extensive selection of bus routes into the city from various areas in Leicestershire such as Loughborough, Coalville and Market Harborough, as well as several routes operating in the City Centre to get you between venues. Hop! Leicester
Hop! is a free bus service, looping the City Centre and serving Haymarket Bus Station, Highcross, Jubilee Square, Leicester Royal Infirmary, Leicester Railway Station and Leicester Market. The buses operate every 10 minutes Monday – Saturday (excluding Bank Holidays) from 8am – 6pm. You can find more information on the service, including a map of the route & any service updates here.
Park & Ride
There are 3 Park & Ride services available into Leicester, with services operating Monday to Saturday from 7am-7pm, with buses running every 15 minutes. Parking is free for bus service users at each of the Leicester Park & Ride sites, located at Enderby, Birstall and Meynell’s Gorse. By Train
Leicester Railway Station is ideally positioned close to most City Centre festival venues, as well as being a stop on bus routes into the city. For more information on train services to Leicester from your area, please visit:

By Bicycle
An environmentally friendly way to travel to the festival, cycling is an encouraged method of transport in Leicester & Leicestershire. The City Centre and county have many free, on-street public cycle stands for your convenience.
